Bainbridge Island Residence – Bainbridge Island, WA

Bainbridge Island Residence:

The site for this Bainbridge Island home with guest house comprises 32 wooded acres that sweep uphill from the Puget Sound in the West to a ridge and then drops back down again to the access road in the East.  The majority of the site containing steep slopes and wetlands were left untouched and given a forest management designation.  The house was located within a two acre area along the ridge which included as existing clearing and was accessible via an abandoned logging road.  A survey was conducted by members of our firm in order to uncover the underlying organization of views, pre-existing paths, clearings and tree locations in order to fit the house into this fabric.
